Throughout the duration of the sequence, the use of shapes were introduced as the song continued to play; all the way through the chorus. Thinking about movement and how shapes were represented as sounds gave me the necessary focus to develop a piece that is compositionally sound.
The objective was to portray a song using abstract forms. The utilization of an instrumental song forced me to focus on the individual instruments at play. In to understand the nuances of the instruments, I charted them and began drawing with chalk pastels.
